Apex Action Welsh 3000s Challenge

Apex Action to do the Welsh 3000’s Challenge for The Neuromuscular Centre!
15 Peaks Over 3000 ft in 48 hours!

On 1st & 2nd June 2019, Apex’s Managing Director Chris Hutchings & management trainee George Hutchings will be heading to Wales to take on the Welsh 3000’s Challenge, attempting to reach the summit of 15 peaks over 3000 ft in just 48 hours!

Why? To raise a minimum of £1000 for our 2019 Charity of the Year, The Neuromuscular Centre in Winsford.

Make no mistake, the Welsh 3000’s is one of the hardest & gruelling UK mountain challenges!

Led by mountaineer & adventurer Dave Talbot, Chris & George will join a team of experienced mountain guides & other trekkers.  Navigating rocky terrain, they will cover 51 km & 4000 meters of ascent & descent.  Tackling the Snowdon, Gldyder & Carneddau mountain ranges, the route will include some classic Grade 1 scrambles such as the famous Crib Goch ridge, as well as the south ridge of Tryfan & Pen yr Ole Wen.

Commenting on his challenge, MD Chris Hutchings says:

“The Neuromuscular Centre (NMC) is our nominated charity partner & this incredible organisation provide a wide range of services for people with muscular dystrophy & allied neuromuscular conditions in the North West of England and wider regions.

What struck me when I first visited this organisation & every visit since, is the incredible energy, passion and enthusiasm of everybody involved at the centre, dedicated to empowering & improving the quality of life for people with muscular dystrophy.

On behalf of Apex, I’m more than happy to support!”
