Apex Action Donates Cuddly Toys to CAMHS Christmas Gift Appeal

Apex Action was delighted to support the CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) Christmas Gift Appeal this December for a second year running.  They donated a selection of cuddy toys including a huge reindeer!  Organised by Safe Opportunities based in Crewe, the toys were added to other presents such as colouring & craft items, puzzles, toiletries, clothing, chocolates & sweets donated by other local companies.

The gifts were given to the children who are in CAMHS wards in hospital at Christmas.  CAMHS teams provide services for children & young people aged 0 – 16 years who have difficulties with their emotional & behavioural wellbeing.  Everybody who visits CAMHS is different & the teams offer a superb tailored service for each individual, as well as actively including families & carers in the process to ensure the support is on-going.

Commercial Manager, Debbie Snelson commented:

“We really hope our presents brought some festive cheer & a smile to someone’s face.  It’s hard enough being in hospital at any time of the year, but especially at Christmas!

A big thank you to Safe Opportunities, especially Sarah & Ashleigh who are featured in the photo, who organised the appeal & ensured the timely delivery of gifts to accompany those left by Santa!”
