Apex Action to Sponsor Emma Rosen to Inspire Hundreds of Students With Outside-The-Box Career Advice

Emma will speak at schools in the West Midlands about 25before25, an innovative project launched by Emma aimed to inspire young people to get more work experience & be more proactive about their career education.

Never really knowing what she wanted to do Emma spent a year in a 9 to 5 office job.  She resigned & took an entire year to focus on finding her ideal career – a radical sabbatical – 25before25!  Emma tried 25 different careers before turning 25 through work experience, shadowing & just giving things a go.  Her placements ranged from archaeology in Transylvania, tour guiding in Venezuela & investigative journalism with The Telegraph, to an extra in a major movie, alpaca farming in Cornwall & assisting the British Council’s crisis team during the terror attack on Parliament in March.

Emma now speaks at schools, colleges & universities offering practical advice to help young people to figure out what they want to do when they have no idea where to start.   She covers topics such as how to get work experience placements, breaking down the preconceptions on what certain jobs are like, learning by doing, the concept of portfolio careers & the future of work.

Emma is also the author of “The Radical Sabbatical – The Millennial Handbook to the Quarter Life Crisis”, & has appeared on BBC TV, BBC Radio 4, featured in The Telegraph & The Times, as well as delivered Ted talks.  For more information about Emma visit www.25before25.co.uk.  To buy a copy of her book search on www.amazon.co.uk or click here hyperlink.
