Apex Action Supports Crewe Alexandra Football Club 3rd Family Open Day

On Friday 26th July an estimated 1500 visitors descended on Gresty Road Stadium, home of Crewe Alexandra Football Club (CAFC).  Fans of the club, children, parents & grandparents alike turned out to enjoy a whole host of entertainment on offer at the clubs 3rd Family Fun Day!

Apex Action was pleased to sponsor the face painter, who transformed many youngsters into tigers, zebras & the like!  A balloon modeller mesmerized the audience twisting & shaping balloons into a variety of animals and a magician captured the audience with his tricks & illusions.

The most popular activity on the day appeared to be locking the players in the stocks.  The young supporters took great delight in throwing wet sponges at their idols.  The Crewe Alexandra men’s & women’s teams also demonstrated their skills as they trained on the pitch, as well as offering visitors a meet & greet signing session.

Selecta Tyre of Crewe took along their inflatable speed goal.  Participants had to kick the ball into the net as hard as possible & the speed of the shot was recorded.  The competition winners won a tour of the England training base at St Georges Park.

Macesport let visitors test their Teqball skills.  Teqball is a new football-based sport but played on what looks like a curved table tennis table!

Supporters could also explore the Crewe Alex first team coach fetched by Paul’s Coaches, in addition to Cheshire Police who brought along a police car.

Apex’s fellow South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce member & CAFC’s charity partner, Mid Cheshire Hospitals, had a stall selling their latest range of popular pet Flumpets.   My Candy Cloud, The Cake Kitchen, Sugro & Hickory’s Smokehouse Crewe also supported the event & offered a variety of sweets, cakes, crisps, popcorn & slush drinks.

Of course, a CAFC Fun Day would not be complete without the presence of Gresty the Lion, who was available all day for photos.

And to top it all, the new 2019/20 away kit went on sale in the Club Shop!
