Apex Action Supports Haslington Primary School at Village Fun Day

Saturday 11th May saw the return of the annual Haslington Village Fete Day and this year Haslington Primary School were present with a stall.  Organised by the Friends of Haslington School (FOHS), the school stand included a variety of games & sold homemade cakes to raise funds for the school.

Apex Action donated to help towards the purchase of prizes for the games, as well as provided 300 stickers to seal the prize bags & printed banners to help decorate the stand.

The event was opened by Laura Smith, MP for Crewe & Nantwich.  Held on the village green there were around 40 stalls altogether representing either a charity or a village organisation.  They included the British Red Cross, Haslington Gardening Club, St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice & The Royal British Legion.  There was of course also an ice-cream van!

Supported by residents of the local community, entertainment was provided by The Rock Choir from Haslington Primary School, as well as a performance from Winterley Brass Band.  The event also included Haslington Dog Show.  Pedigree & Fun Classes were judged with rosettes & prizes being awarded for Best Toy Dog, Best Working Dog, Best Puppy, Best Junior Handler, Best Groomed Dog & The Dog The Judge Would Most Like to Take Home!

Debbie Snelson, Apex’s Commercial Manager commented:

“We are so pleased that the occasion was a huge success for Haslington Primary School.  They raised an amazing £500 on the day and all of the money will be put towards resources for the children”.
