Apex Action Sponsors “Beat the Clock” School Quiz

Apex were pleased to support Manchester’s King David High School’s “Beat The Clock”.  The programme gives students the opportunity to understand a variety of Jewish topics, including Cycle of the Year, Synagogue & Worship, and Jewish Values, as they embark on their journey as young Jewish adults.

Utilising their Beat The Clock resource book, the students studied prior to the grand finale event.  Hosted by King David High School on 4th July 2017, 140 participants, including pupils from JFS and Immanuel College London, gathered eager to demonstrate their acquired Jewish general knowledge.

Contestants competed in numerous interactive challenges, which included online quizzes, and acting out a Jewish wedding.  All the activities were time-bound, hence the name, Beat The Clock!

Debbie Snelson, Commercial Manager of Apex commented:

“We are so pleased to offer our support.  The zest & enthusiasm the students have for this event clearly shines through.”

Rabbi Jonny Goodman, organiser of the event, commented:

“The idea was to offer Year 7 students something to infuse them with love and passion for Jewish learning. It was wonderful to see Jewish High school students from London & Manchester come together as they connect with their Jewish heritage in an interactive, fun & engaging way.”

Each year, Apex give 10% of their profits to charity, whilst also planting a tree for every device they sell.  If you have an environmental or educational project you think the Apex Action team can assist with, they’d love to hear from you.
